Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Manager for Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) to join our team. This is a vital role where you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of our programs. By developing and implementing M&E frameworks, you will provide crucial insights that drive improvements and demonstrate our program’s impact. Your work will directly influence strategic decisions and enhance the overall outcomes of our social justice initiatives.


Responsibilities:

1. Develop Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks:

  • Design and implement M&E frameworks for various projects aligned with the organization’s goals.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish clear indicators, targets, and appropriate data collection methods.

2. Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Oversee the collection of both quantitative and qualitative data using surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other methods.
  • Analyze and interpret data to assess project progress, outcomes, and overall impact.
  • Provide accurate, timely reports to inform programmatic decisions.

3. Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the highest quality of data through continuous monitoring, verification, and validation processes.
  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure data collection processes adhere to established protocols and standards.

4. Capacity Building:

  • Train project staff and partners on M&E processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Offer ongoing support and mentorship to strengthen the teams’ capacity in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare comprehensive M&E reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document lessons learned, success stories, and best practices to inform future programming and initiatives.

6. Evaluation and Impact Assessment:

  • Plan and execute evaluations, mid-term reviews, and impact assessments for various projects.
  • Use findings to provide actionable recommendations to enhance program performance.

7. Learning and Knowledge Management:

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions within the organization to disseminate M&E findings and lessons learned.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge products and strategies for knowledge dissemination.

8. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with program managers, project teams, and external partners to ensure M&E activities are integrated seamlessly into the project planning and implementation process.
  • Communicate M&E findings in a clear and accessible manner to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1-2 years of management experience in M&E, particularly within nonprofit organizations, social justice, community development, or environmental sustainability.
    • Proven experience in designing and implementing M&E systems for NGOs or similar entities.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
    • Proficiency in M&E software and tools.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in Kannada and English.
    • Familiarity with international development standards and frameworks is a plus.
  • Languages:
    • Proficiency in Kannada (mandatory).
    • Proficiency in Hindi or any other South Indian language is an added advantage.

Location and Contract Details:

  • Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
  • Expected Date of Joining: Immediate
  • Contract Duration: December 2025
  • Salary: ₹35,000 to ₹40,000 per month
