Featherlite is looking for an experienced Logistics Executive to join its team in Hejjala, Bangalore. The role is crucial in supporting the production logistics functions within the company, ensuring that the logistics operations run efficiently and effectively to meet the company’s large-scale manufacturing needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production logistics, supply chain management, and coordination across various teams to ensure smooth operations.

As a Logistics Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing logistics processes, optimizing supply chain operations, and ensuring that materials and finished products are delivered on time, efficiently, and at the lowest possible cost.
Key Responsibilities

Logistics Management:
- Oversee the transportation, storage, and distribution of materials, ensuring products reach the required destinations within the specified time frame.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.

Inventory Control:
- Manage and track inventory levels to ensure that there is no shortage of materials in the production process.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements to optimize stock management and minimize delays.

Supply Chain Coordination:
- Work closely with the production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure seamless communication between departments.
- Monitor and analyze the entire supply chain process, suggesting improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

Process Optimization:
- Identify areas for improvement within the logistics operations, such as reducing lead time and improving delivery accuracy.
- Implement process improvements and track performance metrics to measure success.

Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with transportation providers, warehousing partners, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth delivery of goods.
- Negotiate transportation contracts and terms to ensure cost-effective solutions for the company.

Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with legal and safety regulations during transportation and storage.
- Prepare and maintain necessary documentation related to logistics operations, including delivery receipts, invoices, and shipping schedules.

Problem-Solving:
- Quickly address any logistical challenges, such as delayed shipments, transportation issues, or inventory discrepancies.
- Work with various teams to resolve logistical challenges while minimizing disruption to the production process.

Reporting:
- Provide regular updates and reports on logistics operations to senior management.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and supply chain management and present data-driven insights for decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Any degree, with a background in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in a production logistics department or related role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of transportation, warehouse, and inventory management processes.
- Familiarity with supply chain optimization techniques.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with vendors, team members, and senior management.
