Position: Assistant β Store Department
Department: Store / Inventory
Location: Bidadi, Bengaluru, Karnataka
Experience: 5 to 8 years in manufacturing industry
Qualification: B.Com or Diploma in any related field
As an Assistant in the Store Department, your primary responsibilities will involve managing inventory, overseeing the storage of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies, ensuring the timely distribution of goods to relevant departments, and maintaining accurate stock records. This role requires someone with a solid understanding of inventory management and experience in a manufacturing environment.
You will work closely with other departments such as production, quality control, and procurement to ensure smooth operations and timely availability of materials. Candidates should have prior experience in manufacturing industries and be proficient in handling store operations, inventory control, and logistical coordination.
πΌ Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant in the Store Department, your core duties will include:
- Inventory Management: Oversee the storage, retrieval, and distribution of goods and materials. Ensure stock levels are regularly updated, and materials are readily available for production processes.
- Stock Recording: Maintain detailed records of all stock movements, both incoming and outgoing, and report discrepancies to management immediately.
- Stock Audits: Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with inventory standards.
- Logistics Coordination: Ensure that materials are received and dispatched according to production schedules, coordinating with the production and logistics teams.
- Store Maintenance: Ensure the store area is organized, clean, and complies with safety regulations.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any supply-related issues.
- Data Entry: Use inventory management software to input stock levels, material requisitions, and deliveries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems will be highly beneficial.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation related to store management, including purchase orders, material requisitions, and stock reports.
π Requirements
Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in store management or inventory control within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with handling materials such as PU foam pads, seating systems, or any similar industrial products is a plus.
- Manufacturing industry experience is mandatory, particularly in companies dealing with automotive components or industrial equipment.
Qualification:
- B.Com or Diploma in any relevant field.
- Candidates with additional certifications in inventory management, logistics, or related areas will be given preference.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of inventory management processes and techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory management software like ERP, SAP, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of stock control, warehouse operations, and logistics.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with various departments.
- Ability to problem-solve and take initiative to improve processes and operations.
- Fluency in Kannada and Hindi is a must, as you will need to communicate with local and pan-India teams.
